Professional background: Mabon is currently the regional Fundraising and Volunteer Manager for a major UK health charity

Favourite Football Club: “I’ve got to say Liverpool. My Nain was from Liverpool and so I had an affinity with the city. I also follow Wrexham and other Welsh clubs.”

Favourite book: “I’ve read so many great books recently. My favourite authors are John Le Carre, Graham Greene and George Macdonald Fraser’s Flashman series. However my favourite book is probably All Quiet On The Western Front, it just shows the futility of war, and is so evocative. My favorite Welsh language author is currently Dewi Prysor, but my favourite book in Welsh is Cysgod y Cryman by Islwyn Ffowc Ellis”.

Favourite TV Programme: “I don’t get much time to watch TV. S4C have just started broadcasting what promises to be a fantastic series, Pen Talar, and I’m looking forward to watching that. Other than that my all time favourite TV programme would have to be Blackadder – it’s just such a brilliantly witty, and painfully realistic – I’ve got the box set so that I can watch them over and over again, and they’re still funny!”

Favourite Movie: “The original Star Wars trilogy captivated me as a child, and re-watching them is a secret pleasure! The Godfather Part 2 and Apocalypse Now are probably the best films I’ve seen, though I like Ken Loach and Paul Greengrass’s films.”

Favourite musical artist: “I like music of all genres. The Odds and Masters of France are just brilliant and show that the Welsh language rock scene is alive and kicking. I’m a big fan of folk and roots music, especially musical fusion experiments like the Afro Celt Sound System. The number one band however is Runrig, one of who’s members is now an SNP MSP.”

Favourite Food: “Fresh field mushrooms in butter and garlic, and fresh trout! Nothing better, and readily available at the right time of year throughout Wales! Guava is my fvourite fruit, from the time I spent in Guyana as a child.”

Best Holiday destination: “Our honeymoon in Cuba was just amazing. It has such a rich history , and with it being only 90 miles off the coast of the most powerful nation on earth the country continues to blaze its own trail and ensure equality for all. The people were wonderful, and the memory of dancing salsa and sipping mojito at 2am on the city squares will stay with me forever.”

Favourite drink: “Fresh Fruit drinks are my favourite, especially fresh orange juice with the bits floating around! My favourite alcoholic drink changes depending on my mood, but I’ve aquired a taste for real ale, and Wales produces some fantastic real ales.”

I’m curious as to how u got my email.
The history of North Wales is one of many land grabs most by Welshmen from the Welsh.
I have expressed concern about the continued & ever accelerating colonising of the North East of Wales & the Coastal regions since the late sixties. I am disgusted that our Dynion Mawr. ie Welsh MPs have turned a blind eye to it. Now I fear it is too late to stop it. Even in Conwy County there are now not enough of our people to fill the position in local government.
Plaid Cymru has lost its way .
The retreat to the tribal territories is a last ditch action.
